We currently share information about road-law issues and questions free of charge across the UK, in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.
The service will always be entirely free. We are NOT lawyers, nor do we offer advice. We simply upload information.
Our site is as simple as it gets in terms of website usability: Just go to ask a question to request information whether on road traffic offenses or road accident claims. You will always get a personal response to your question from a member of our team by email if you require it, but we ask you to grant us permission to anonymous your question and place it online with the answer for the benefit of others who might – in the future – face the same problem.
However, if you request confidentiality we will respect your decision and not publish your question or our answer but only respond directly and privately to you.
We endeavor to respond to any road law or accident question within the day, and only in the most exceptional circumstances will a response take more than 24 hours.
The Road Accident Service is a virtual team and not a single person but draws on the collective experience of a panel of road users.
While the information provided is of the highest possible quality it should only be regarded as general guidance and does not comprise a substitute for detailed, individual legal advice about the circumstances of your particular case.
If you are bereaved or injured in a road crash or are concerned about the level of death or injury then please get in touch.
We only provide information on how to deal with road accidents.
